INDOT US 30 project –  WORK HOURS HAVE CHANGED (as of 9-22-14)

There will be 1 lane closure per week to do concrete patching for the next 4 weeks.  This closure period will be from Sunday 6:00 pm to Friday 12:00 pm.  During this time there will be one lane permanently closed to do the work.

The patching will be completed by Nov 1 and the joint sealing completed by Nov 25th.

The Schulte St. project is scheduled to begin at the end of September, provided a NIPSCO utility conflict can be resolved in time. Access to the town hall may be limited to the US 30 entrance during the Schulte St. project (3-4 weeks).

The Richard Rd./Norma Ln. work is scheduled to begin at the end of September.

Emergency Preparedness
7/3/2014 2:27:39 PM by Tammi Hedrick

The recent power outage experienced in our area on July 1st should serve as a reminder that our Town Hall can be made available as a cooling shelter (warming shelter in the winter) in the event of a prolonged power outage.

2014 Road Projects
6/13/2014 2:38:55 PM by Lindsay Grove

The town will be undertaking road repair work on Cambridge Lane, 211th Street between Harrison Avenue and Jackson    Avenue, Norma Lane, Richard Road and Schulte Street in mid to late July. The work is expected to be completed this calendar year with the exception of green space restoration. The green space restoration will likely be completed in the spring of 2015.

It is our intent to keep one lane open at all times on both Richard Road and Norma Lane so that access to the businesses on those roads will be available at all times.

Access to the town hall will be impacted during the work on Schulte Street and it may be necessary to restrict that access to the driveway on US30 during some of that work.

Naturally we will maintain access to the homes along both Cambridge Lane and 211th Street as best as we can during the work on those streets. At times it may be necessary to park vehicles on adjacent streets for brief periods.

We hope you will bear with us during this project and keep in mind that today’s inconvenience is tomorrow’s improvement.
