Sanitary Sewer Inspections

Notice:
RedZone Robotics and their subcontractors will be inspecting the entire sanitary sewer system starting this month. Most of the work will be done in the Public Right of Way and will not impact residents or businesses. If RedZone does have to venture onto private property, the residents will be notified. RedZone will be working seven days per week. At this time, we do not have an end date for this project.

Once this project is complete, we will have accurate inspection data of the entire sanitary sewer system for the first time in twenty years. This information will guide us in our decision-making regarding repairs to the system.

HomeSnacks Ranks Dyer #9 in Safest Places In Indiana

HomeSnacks released its ”Safest places to live in the Hoosier State" report this week. To compile this report, HomeSnacks looked at the hard numbers from the FBI's most recent report of crime (2014). Specifically, they analyzed the FBI's Uniform Crime Report which summarizes the number of property crimes and violent crimes in each city per year which all have a minimum population of 5,000 people. They used three criteria:

  • Violent crimes per capita (murders, assaults, rapes, armed robberies)
  • Property crimes per capita (thefts, burglaries, motor vehicle thefts)
  • Total crimes per capital

Dyer was ranked the 9th safest city in Indiana!  See the full list, here: http://www.homesnacks.net/cities/safest-places-in-indiana/
