Parks and Recreation
Dyer Parks & Recreation is always taking employment applications. Click here for an employment application. Applications can be submitted in person during regular business hours of Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm at the Parks and Recreation office at Town Hall. Employment application forms are also available in person at the Parks and Recreation office during office hours.

Dyer Parks and Recreation has seasonal employment opportunities for a number of recreational activities each summer. Employment applications are reviewed throughout the year as program staffing needs are formed. Part time office clerks, recreation program leaders and recreation program coordinators are the three categories where staff is employed.

2018 Recreation Opportunities 
We are currently accepting applications for our Summer 2018 programs and events. Please fill out an online application, print it out and drop it off at the Dyer Parks & Recreation's office. We are open M - F  7:30 am- 4pm. Applications can also be picked up at the Parks Department window. Potential candidates must have reliable transportation, be prompt and have an outgoing personality. Department of Public Works
The Town of Dyer Department of Public Works is accepting applications for the positions listed below. Click here for a job application. Call 219-865-4222 with questions. Laborer (Full-Time)

DPW is accepting applications for one full-time laborer position.

Some job duties associated with this position include:
  • Removal of solid waste throughout Town
  • Street maintenance
  • Infrastructure maintenance
  • Street sign removal and installation
  • Snow plowing of streets during winter
  • Water main break repairs
An Indiana CDL Class B is required within 90 days of employment.

Laborer (Full-Time/Temporary Help)
DPW is accepting applications for temporary full-time laborers during the summer beginning in May and finishing during September.

Some job duties associated with this position include:
  • Removal of branches throughout Town
  • Painting hydrants and various water repairs
  • Street sign removal and installations
  • Organization and clean-up of public works buildings

Laborer (Part-Time Help)
DPW is accepting applications for a part-time position that will work at the wastewater treatment plant laboratory. This individual should have a background in chemistry and/or biology, and have the ability to work weekends.

Some duties associated with this position include:
  • Analyze various parameters, including pH, TSS, BOD, and NH3
  • Monitor and record field instruments
  • Preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment.
