Early Childhood

Preschool Bricks 4 Kidz (ages 3.5-5)
Introduce your preschooler to the fun of learning, building and playing the Bricks 4 Kidz way! Watch their eyes light up as kids dig into a pile of brightly colored DUPLO Bricks to create fun, simple sculptures based on the ABCs.

 Youth General Interest Classes



Sylvan Robotics (5-12 year olds) 
Elementary Bricks 4 Kidz- Our one hour classes explore architecture, engineering and technology concepts using LEGO Bricks. Student swill work hands-on to design and build machines, buildings and other constructions.
Remote Control Mania Camp- Kids will love to see their creations in motion using LEGO wireless remote controls.
Jurassic Brick Land Camp- Campers will build a world that comes to life with gentle Brontosaurus, ferocious Velociraptor, terrible T-Rex and more.

Young Rembrandts Preschool Drawing

Ages 3.5-5: This class will expand preschoolers’ imagination and vocabulary as they draw familiar images such as fish, teddy bears, rainbows, and cowboys. We will develop fine motor skills, focus, listening, staying on task, patience, and spatial organization.

Young Rembrandts Elementary Drawing 

Ages 5-12: This age group will learn basic to advanced drawing skills, art techniques and vocabulary. We will give them skills to express their creativity.

Young Rembrandts Cartooning
Ages 5-12: Learning to draw can be fun, especially when we create silly characters, funny expressions and drawing sequences that tell a joke! 

Young Rembrandts Winter Camps
Australian Adventures (5-12 yr. olds)- Take an adventure Down Under as we explore cartooning with Australian-related jokes and scenes.
World of Dinosaurs (9-14 yr. olds)- Every day students will learn to use chalk pastels to create vibrant, impressive and frame-worthy art.
Winter Break Camp (5-12yr. olds)- We will spend 3-days learning about and drawing cartoons in the Anime style.

Private Guitar Lessons (10 & older)
Private lessons are a great option for the beginner as well as the seasoned guitarist. These one-on-one lessons are perfect for individuals that need extra help or those that want to brush up on their skills.

Guitar Lessons (10 & older)
During this 4 week class, participants will learn how to play the guitar, how to take care of and re-string a guitar; music history and theory.

Adult General Interest Classes


BLAST: Babysitter Lessons and Safety Training (11-15 years old)

Interested in being certified for babysitting? Register for our BLAST! (Babysitter Lessons and Safety Training). This class is a 4 hour course which includes a course completion certificate, program materials (including a student manual), training in pediatric first aid, household safety and fundamentals of childcare. Please bring a snack and drink.  

CPR/AED/First Aid (16 yrs old +)
Interested in being certified for First Aid and CPR/AED? During this 4 hour long class, you will receive a completion certificate good for two years, program materials (including a student manual) and training/certification in infant, child, and adult first aid. You will also learn about injury prevention and stroke recognition. This class if offered through ECSI (Emergency Care and Safety Institute). Registration is two days prior to each session.


Situational Awareness (16+) 
Join us in this 2 hour course to gain knowledge and skill in personal safety. Learn to enhance your levels of safety and awareness at home, work, and while traveling. Reduce the risk of potential threats or harm to yourself of a loved one. Family, friends, and co-workers are encouraged to participate. All participants will be awarded a certificate of completion at the end of the course.

Matching students to Schools (Adults 18 & older)
Guided by the handbook, "Where Your Child Goes to School Does Matter," parents and families will participate in a hands-on workshop where they will learn how to match students and schools. This workshop is presented by Dr. Marg De Roo.

Yoga (adults 18 & older)
Whether you are new to Yoga or an experienced Yogi, this class is right for you. This class aims to improve your ability to relax while increasing strength and flexibility within your body, mind and everyday life.

Advanced T'ai Chi Chih (ages 18 & older)
This class is not lead by an instructor. Current participants are advanced and have joined together to practice T'ai Chi Chih. Joy thru movement is a series of 19 movements and one pose that circulate and balance energy.

Senior Bowling (adults 50+)
During this 4 week program, participant's ages 50 & older will meet new friends, bowl a few games and socialize during this non-competitive program. Shoes are included. Register with a friend, neighbor, relative or co-worker.

Wii Bowling (adults 50+)
This program is perfect for those that want to have a good time, meet new people and get out of the house. We are non-competitive and each bowler will bowl 2 games per week. Coffee is served along with a treat, brought in by participants each week. Laughs, friendships and fun are what life is all about!

Private Guitar Lessons (10 & older)
